When I started as a salon owner in Brooklyn, besides doing hair, I also did many facials, waxing and other beauty treatments. I Ioved my customers and wanted them to look and feel beautiful after each treatment. They loved the long term effects of beauty treatments, however we want immediate results (let’s be honest here!). So, the only option would be to apply makeup immediately after the treatment. Conventional makeup is a problem for skin that just got treated because it can cause irritation or infection. So, my customers had to leave with freshly treated skin, which mostly was red from extractions or other treatments. That was painful for me. I felt like I was making clients settle for what was a “reality” of the beauty industry.
Why can’t my clients get their skin treated and then get to put on makeup that protects their beauty? Why can’t clients walk in during lunch or right before an important event, do a quick wax, apply makeup and run get their business done? The makeup industry did not have an answer for me, so I had to create an answer for myself, my customers and people everywhere.
After countless hours of research and travel to manufacturers and chemists, I was finally able to find a manufacturer that was able to offer what I wanted.
In 2013 Aneley Cosmetics was born.
